Well, our host moved us to a new (and hopefully faster) server last night. In the move process somehow our database got left behind. Luckily our host was kind enough to restore the database from the old server manually and we are up and going again. Everything should be running normally now, but if you do notice anything odd, please let us know!

...And We're Back!
User Registration Issues
First off, I would like to apologize to everyone for my absense the last couple weeks. My mother passed away on 08/02/07 and I have been busy making funeral arrangements and dealing with her passing. We where very close and I just needed some time off. I should be back within the next couple days.
We have had some issues today with user registration and activation. If you regestered a new account in the last 24 hours and cannot login, please re-register. I made a minor change to the database last night and user registration info was not being entered into the database. Should you have any problems re-registering, please contact us and let us know.

Special Characters in Movie Titles
We were made aware of a situation last week where special characters where causing some movies not to show up correctly in Windows Media Center. For instance, if the movie title had an ampersand (&), colon (:), slash (/) or a few other characters, Media Center would not show any info for the movie.
The easiest solution was to just remove those characters from the xml file just before you download it. So, when you receive your dvdid.xml, all special characters are stripped from the title.
If you have any movies experiencing this problem, our suggestion is to download the dvdid.xml for that movie again. Or you can just manually edit the dvdid.xml you already have. Your choice.

Back to Business as Usual
Well after an extended amount of downtime, things are finally back to normal at DVDxml. Our download and search features are once again fully functional. All it cost us was 5 gallons of blood, sweat and tears. Don't worry though, there is plenty to go 'round.
To show our gratitude for everyone's patience and support, we have decided to offer all of our dvdid information for FREE!!!
Oh, wait, we already do that. :P

Host Problems
Our host is currently experiencing some minor problems that are preventing some portions of DVDxml not to work correctly. We are working with them on the issue to bring things back to normal as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
