Tim on Sunday 15 August 2010 - 22:36:35Gold Membership is $5 per YEAR. =)
dfrando on Sunday 15 August 2010 - 22:33:19so does it really cost $5 per month
Tim on Sunday 15 August 2010 - 18:29:27Funny you mention it, I just started a revamp of the search backend. If all goes well hopefully it will be released in the next week or two.
In the mean time, a quick tip. If you use boolean operators you will get much better search results.
omfgroflmao on Sunday 15 August 2010 - 18:19:46Man dvdxml MUST fix that search algorithm their using, it's completely crap.
99% of the movies I search are like in the 6th page and the others results are completely irrelevant.

Thanks for joining...In the future please request your titles in the Forum section. Also, I am assuming that you meant "Red Sun" as one of the titles. Hard Times (1975) http://www.dvdxml.com/download/view.php?xml_id=89547
Tim on Sunday 15 August 2010 - 00:05:09Wekiva, searches are not effected by membership type. Perhaps what you are referring to is our Windows Client? With the Windows Client you can search from your desktop via an application and automate the process, instead of coming to the website. The windows client also offers the ability to lookup a specific movie by DVDid if so necessary.
Wekiva on Saturday 14 August 2010 - 13:22:50I thought I read somewhere that paying for membership allowed for better searches....by ISBN or something. How is this more thorough search done?
David Coull on Wednesday 11 August 2010 - 00:22:21I would like to know if anyone has info. on Best of the Best 3 & 4, and Hard Times & Run Sun are old Charles Bronson Movies also An Innocent Man an older Tom Selleck movie. unable to dvdid.xml files
MuscleFX on Sunday 08 August 2010 - 09:43:48how do u search the forums? cant seem to get any results. its seems to search on the dvdid database.
Tim on Wednesday 04 August 2010 - 11:10:48I would say yes, but then again I'm a little bias. Not only do you get instant downloads here, but you also get access to programs that will automate the whole thing for you. =)
Chewee45 on Wednesday 04 August 2010 - 11:04:11Hay does anybody know if its worth paying to upgrade to the gold membership?
Downfal1 on Monday 26 July 2010 - 01:40:04omg
Tim on Sunday 11 July 2010 - 12:30:57gimdo, the windows client works with just about any type of digital movie. Including blu-ray and MKV.
gimdo on Sunday 11 July 2010 - 06:27:46Can you use the windows client to automaticly download info for Blu-Ray and MKV backups or just for DVDs ?

Any synopsis that is generated comes from the Microsoft MCE server not DVDXML.com. DVDXML.com only provides the "tag" file to retrieve the information from Microsoft's server. The tag file can be edited but is not as simply as adding the information to the tag file. Many TV shows tend not to have the complete information. You can always edit and save the information locally. See the FAQ.

Ghostwheel on Monday 14 June 2010 - 21:05:01Morras...
You are welcome. As for Solomon Kane, the release date for US is 06/28/2010. Check back a few day after that date. Remember that we can not generate a DVDXML id without the original DVD.
Morras on Monday 14 June 2010 - 07:20:55Thanks Ghostwheel....I managed to find it....I am looking for Solomon Kane though?

Tim on Wednesday 09 June 2010 - 11:22:20Jubei,
Yes you can search with multiple criteria. To search for the movie you want just type "Sherlock Holmes 2009" (no quotes) and tick both the title and year boxes under the search field. Same goes for actor.
Jubei on Tuesday 08 June 2010 - 23:09:52Hi, I'm pretty sure it's been released on DVD but wheneever I search for Sherlock Holmes the 2009 movie, I come with a ton of hits for a ton of other DVDs. Same thing if I try one of the actors names. Is there a way I can search for a title and a year or actor for example?
Cheers
Capital Crime on Tuesday 08 June 2010 - 01:48:30It seems like I use the site for a bit and then it quits on me. Search engine stops working . . . any suggestions?
